With the arrival of spring Los Angeles-based ensemble Annabel (lee) welcome new works in continued collaboration with NY & LA based label Youngbloods, sharing a trio of compositions collectively titled “From This Side”. Composer & producer Richard Ellis, with his wife, writer & singer Sheila Brown Ellis, follow last year's full-length album “The Cleansing” by weaving a tragically beautiful contrast between glowing, warm tonalities and otherworldly lyrical vignettes.

“The conscious, subconscious, the dark and light; their shadows in between, a curious shade of green. Searching for horizons of the unknown. Is it a dreamlike state of euphoria, or a hallucinatory dance with Fear itself? Presumably there are two sides to every story; for some, there are more.”

Genuinely haven't been this excited to find an artist in a long time. Listened to Black Is on repeat for most of last year but Masterpiece from this album is one of the most beautiful pieces of music I've heard. That 'all I think about is you' sample that comes in about halfway through and the way it works with the other vocals is just sublime. fortitude
